Week 3 in the Nfl was other quality weekend of football games for the fans as there were upsets, blowouts, and some close games as well. The Cowboys and Vikings each got their first win... Finally. The Jets and Dolphins played a nail biter on Sunday Night Football. Even the Seahawks and Chargers game was one worth watching right down to the end.
Week 3 was also filled with some great individual performances too:
Santana
Passing
Even though his team lost in overtime, Drew Brees lit up the sky with a 30 of 38 for 365 yards and three touchdowns performance. Michael Vick had a great day, going 17 of 31 for 291 yards and three touchdowns. Vick would also run in a touchdown too. Peyton Manning would perform at a high level too, completing 27 of his 43 passing attempts for 325 yards and three touchdowns. Kyle Orton of the Broncos would throw a lot while playing catch up to the Colts and would end the game 476 yards passing. Chad Henne would do well in a failed comeback against the Jets by completing 26 of 44 passes for 363 yards and two touchdowns.
Rushing
In a game the Vikings literally had to win, Adrian Peterson would come through like he regularly does with 23 carries for 160 yards and two touchdowns. Michael Turner had a very good game for the Falcons, carrying the ball 30 times for 114 yards and a touchdown. Peyton Hillis of the Cleveland Browns carried the ball 22 times for 144 yards and a touchdown.
Receiving
Though the 49ers lost their game to the Chiefs, running back Frank Gore would catch nine passes for 102 yards. Lance Moore of the Saints caught six balls for 149 yards and two touchdowns. Paying big dividends was new Ravens wide receiver Anquan Boldin who caught eight passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns. Roy Williams of the Cowboys caught five passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns. In a losing effort, Santana Moss of the Redskins caught six balls for 124 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Lloyd of the Broncos had six receptions for 169 yards and touchdown. Brandon Marshall of the Dolphins caught ten balls for 166 yards and one touchdown.
